I AM HER EXHIBITION at SKYLINE COLLEGE: Patrice Robinson

"As a child I was paralyzed by fear. It trickled into my adult years which caused to have a lack of self esteem and confidence. I used to walk with my head down because I thought I was ugly. I almost dropped out of high school because I didn’t think I was smart. It wasn’t until I was told that I am “Fearfully and Wonderfully Made.” I found out what that truly meant, and I allowed myself to be loved and eventually started to love myself. Today I walk with my head up. No longer am I bound to fear. I show my gratitude by encouraging and empowering young women and girls. I am walking in my destiny and creating my legacy."

The "We are the Revolution tours allow is a result of the educational programming around my personal exhibition "Who we are: the will to adorn. Within these tours students are provided a lecture, pop up exhibit, an intimate portrait session, and a student photography exhibit. The interactive photography session allows students and educators to be involved in titling each exhibition.
